Weekly Art Classes
This summer we will be offering weekly art classes starting the week of June 3 & ending the week of July 29. We will be closed July 1st though July 5th so we will not be hosting class that week. In total there will be 8 classes during this session.
Registration is completed on a first come, first serve basis. When choosing a class to register for, it is very important that you choose a class in the proper age range for your child. Students may move to a more suitable class, based on their skill level, during the semester with teacher approval and available space. In order to maintain the flow and size of each class, students will attend the same day each week for an entire session.
Students enrolling mid-session will pay only for the remaining classes at the time of registration, and a supply fee.
A one time $20 Supply Fee will be charged for each session in your cart during registration. All Supplies will be provided by Katy Art School. Classes are limited to 12 students.
Ages 5-7
Art Studio - CLASS FULL
Ages 5-7
Wednesdays 4:45pm-5:45pm
In this beginnging art class students will dive into the fundamentals of art. Using their motor skills students will be focused on learning how to use the art materials. They will also be introduced to art appreciation and the color wheel. In their projects students will be depect subjects that are familiar to them, such as animals, foods, and nature.

Ages 8 & up
Intro to Cartoon & Anime Drawing
Ages 8-12
Tuesdays: 4:30pm-5:30pm
This class will focus on advancing skills of drawing tools such as pencils, charcoal, pen and pastels. Students will learn about the different degrees of graphite pencils and be assigned their own set . They will gain experience with a variety of drawing techniques and learn more about texture, shading, proportion, and depth.

Drawing & Painting - Class Full
Ages 8 & up
Thursdays 4:45pm-5:45pm
In this class, we have a good balance of drawing and painting. We teach drawing from observation and help students to “see” and notice details that will help them to translate it to paper. We teach about painting in this class including the proper use of brushes, color mixing using watercolors and acrylic paint and other mediums such as soft and oil pastels.

Refund Policy: Cancelation 2 weeks prior to class starting gets a full refund.If a student cancels less than 2 weeks before a class starts NO refund is given.
