A one time $35 Supply Fee will be charged for each full semester session in your cart during registration.

Ages 5-7

  • Preschool Art
    Age 4
    In this fun and engaging class, young artists will explore colors, shapes, and textures through hands-on art projects designed just for their age. Children will build fine motor skills, express their creativity, and gain confidence as they paint, draw, sculpt, and more. With a focus on imagination and discovery, this class provides the perfect introduction to the world of art in a playful, encouraging environment.
  • Art Studio
    Ages 5 - 7
    In this beginning art class students will dive into the fundamentals of art. Using their motor skills students will be focused on learning how to use the art materials. They will also be introduced to art appreciation and the color wheel. In their projects students will be depict subjects that are familiar to them, such as animals, foods, and nature.

  • 3D Art Studio

    Ages 5 - 7
    Explore the world of 3D mixed media art with our 3D Mixed Media Art Studio Class. Learn how to work with clay, paper mache and other materials to create unique sculptures and designs. Students will be learning hand building techniques to creat all of their sculptures. Once sculputres are fired in the kiln or completely dry, they will be glazing or painting them as well! Our classes provide a fun and engaging way to unleash your creativity and develop new skills.
  • Drawing Studio
    Ages 7 - 8
    This class will focus on fundamental drawing skills. Students will learn fundamental techniques such as shading, proportion, texture and value. They will work with grey scales and experience with different types on graphite pencils. Most projects will be completed using pencil, colored pencil and apply color over some of the projects using pastels or watercolors.
  • Painting Studio
    Ages 7 - 8
    Students will focus on learning painting skills using fundamental techniques such as blending, proportion, texture and value. They will create projects while experiencing different tools, brushes and techniques. Primatily they will learn to use watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, or more to create their own unique works of art.

  • Mixed Media Studio

    Ages 7 - 9
    Discover the world of mixed media art through this engaging and interactive class. Learn the techniques of painting, drawing, and working with clay while exploring a variety of mediums. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the exciting process of creating your own unique masterpieces.

Ages 8-10

  • Intermediate Drawing
    Ages 9 - 11
    This class will focus on advancing skills of drawing tools such as pencils, charcoal, pen and pastels. Students will learn about the different degrees of graphite pencils and be assigned their own set . They will gain experience with a variety of drawing techniques and learn more about texture, shading, proportion, and depth.

  • Intermediate Painting

    Ages 9 - 11
    Student has had Painting Studio or equal experience. Focus will be on advancing painting techniques using different tools and learning more about brush styles and strokes. Students will dedicate more time to advancing their paintings, while continuing to experience with new tools and techniques. Use watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, or more to create their own unique work of art.
  • Drawing & Painting
    Ages 8 & up
    In this class, we have a good balance of drawing and painting. We teach drawing from observation and help students to “see” and notice details that will help them to translate it to paper. We teach about painting in this class including the proper use of brushes, color mixing using watercolors and acrylic paint and other mediums such as soft and oil pastels.
  • intermediate Drawing & Painting
    Ages 9-10
    Student has taken the Drawing & Painting class at least one full semester or is at least 9 years old. In this class students will advance their drawing and painting skills. They will be assigned projects that they will execute on their own while being guided by their teacher. Each project they do will have a heavy focus on either Drawing or Painting, and on occasion both. Students will be using acrylic paints, watercolors, graphite drawing pencils and more!
  • Comic Creation
    Ages 9 & up
    In this 16-week class, students will dive into the world of comic art by learning how to create their own one-page comic from start to finish. Throughout the course, students will explore how to enhance their storytelling through different illustration styles, dialogue, character design, and posing. The class will place a strong emphasis on shape, line, and perspective to help students bring depth and clarity to their work. Over the semester, students will develop their comic step by step - from brainstorming and sketching to inking and final touches - building both artistic and storytelling skills along the way.

  • Intermediate 3D Art

    Ages 8 & 9
    The Intermediate 3D Mixed Media Art Studio offers an exciting opportunity to explore various art forms such as clay sculpting, glass painting, paper mache, and more. Our experienced instructor will guide your child through the processes of creating 3D art and help them build skills in a fun and supportive environment.

  • Intro to Cartoon and Anime Drawing

    Ages 8-11
    Learn how to draw your favorite cartoon and anime characters with our step-by-step drawing class, Cartoon & Anime Drawing. From basic pencil drawing techniques to creating detailed cartoon faces, this class are perfect for beginners and experts alike.

  • Digital Art: Intro to Digital Painting

    Ages 8-11
    Students will learn about the basic functions and shortcuts for digital art using the popular app Procreate. All work will be completed on an iPad provided to the student during class. Students will be creating digital paintings, such as landscapes, and paintings of subjects they are familiar with. They will participate in follow along projects to learn how to apply their skills in their art pieces.

Ages 11-18

  • Jr High Mixed Media
    Ages 10 & up
    This class will explore an exciting combination of tools and materials while focusing on the developing painting skills. Design, color mixing, blending, form, balance, composition and contrasts are considered, while students explore their imaginations and creativity in a supportive and fun environment.

  • Intermediate Cartoon and Anime Drawing

    Ages 11 & up
    Learn how to draw your favorite cartoon and anime characters with our step-by-step drawing class, Cartoon & Anime Drawing. From basic pencil drawing techniques to creating detailed cartoon faces, this class are perfect for beginners and experts alike.

  • Advanced 3D Studio

    Ages 10 & up
    This advanced class is designed for students who want to focus exclusively on the art of clay. Students will explore a variety of hand-building techniques, including slab, coil, and sculptural methods, while creating more complex forms that reflect their own artistic vision. With an emphasis on craftsmanship, surface design, and finishing techniques, this class will help students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for working with clay.
  • Advanced Drawing
    Age 12 & up
    Unleash your artistic potential in our Advanced Drawing Class, where you'll refine your skills with expert guidance. Explore perspective, proportion, anatomy, and composition using pencil, ink, and more. Whether you're perfecting still lifes or portraits, each session is designed to elevate your artistry.   • Advanced Painting - Watercolors & Acrylics
    Age 12 & up
    In this advanced class, students will explore both watercolor and acrylic painting with a focus on developing their personal style and refining technical skills. Through guided projects and independent work, students will experiment with color theory, composition, layering, and mixed media techniques. This class challenges students to take creative risks while building confidence in both mediums. Ideal for students with prior painting experience who are ready to deepen their artistic practice.

  • Advanced Digital Art

    Ages 12 & up
    Embark on an exciting journey in our Advanced Digital Art Class, where creativity meets technology through the engaging app Procreate. In this innovative studio, young artists will learn essential skills such as layering, shading, and digital illustration techniques while developing their own unique artistic style. Join us for a journey of imagination and digital discovery, where every stroke on the tablet brings their creative visions to life in vibrant colors and dynamic compositions.

  • Digital Art: The Basics of Character Design

    Ages 12 & up
    In this class students will use Procreate on iPads provided by Katy Art School to design complex worlds based on a story the student creates. There will be a focus on concept design for both setting and characters, how the use of specific colors and shapes impacts the way characters are viewed, and necessary visual connections between people and place.
